Holly Kerr Forsyth (1953-2023), journalist, author and historian, writes a column about Australian gardeners, gardens and gardening for The Weekend Australian. Her publications include The Australian Country Woman's Garden (1998), The Garden Lover's Guide to Australia (1996 and revised edition 1998), Gardens in My Year: Inside Australian Gardens (2006), and Remembered Gardens: Eight Women and Their Vision of an Australian Landscape (2006). She was awarded a PhD from the University of New South Wales for her thesis, 'From the British Pastoral to the Australian Arcadia: Women, Transferred Vision and the Reconstruction of Landscape', 2004.
