  • General note

This album appears to have been compiled by John Stirling whilst working at Wyong in 1884, a property which gave its name to the present Central Coast town. The property was established by William Alison who is depicted by Stirling in the album.
Stirling's drawings are principally interested in horses, and his involvement with them at Wyong Station. He shows breaking-in horses, mustering, riding to town in a carriage and collecting supplies in a buggy. He also depicts the interiors of domestic buildings at Wyong. The drawings celebrate the rigours of a manly bush lifestyle.
