During the 1930s Australian test cricketer Clarrie Grimmett produced 20 reels of 16mm cinefilm covering the period 1930 to ca. 1936 including the tours of England in 1930 and 1934 and South Africa 1935-36. In 1998 Sir Ron Brierley purchased the films at auction and a year later converted a selection of them to video.

Includes: 1930 and 1934 test matches in England; King George V meeting the teams; Australian players at Lucerne on the way to England; close-ups of Australian and English players. Most of the leading players of the period can be seen in action including Don Bradman, Stan McCabe, Clarrie Grimmett, Bill O'Reilly, Bert Oldfield, Bill Woodfull, Bill Ponsford (Australia) and Harold Larwood, Walter Hammond, Hedly Verity, Jack Hobbs, Herbert Sutcliffe, Maurice Tate, Maurice Leyland (England).
