  • Scope and Content
    The earliest photographs were taken in New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and San Francisco between 1892 and 1902. A large proportion were taken by Burke on overseas tours in 1938 and 1947-8. The remaining negatives are of Australian subjects photographed between ca. 1905 and 1950.
