The Australian Paint Manufacturers Federation (APMF) was established in 1947 to represent the interests of Australian paint manufacturers. Until the mid 1980s, chapters of the Federation were in operation in the major states of Australia. In 1986, a decision was taken to operate one office in Sydney on a national basis.
