    The State Library of New South Wales acquired the papers of Diana Heath (1935- ) concerning her time spent with various children's programs at the A.B.C. both radio and television. In order to expand this record an interview was conducted with her by Joy Storie, a consultant at the Library, for the Library's collection. Diana Heath was with the A.B.C. from 1956 to 1969. She joined the A.B.C. as a specialist trainee with the A.B.C. Children's Hour (radio and television), and continued to work with the program which included the Argonauts Club.
  • Scope and Content
    In 1956 Diana Heath worked initially on the Children's Hour and discusses contributors, the music, the program's development, the various venues including the Royal Agricultural Society and hospitals. She discusses the Argonauts Club and its success. Later she went to work on Poets' Corner and she reflects on the differences between radio and television. She left the A.B.C. in 1969.
