    Sandy Hollow to Maryvale railway line construction workers. The upper face of the tunnel on which the men are standing is called the "chinaman". The rubble from above is shovelled into the wagon behind the horse. The horse's breastplate is used for pushing the wagon back into the tunnel - Denman, NSW
