Kerry Walker is a well-known actress who graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney in 1974. Since then she has made numerous appearances both on the stage and in films. She first met the Nobel Prize winning author Patrick White when she was chosen to play the leading role in the film adaptation of his short story The Night the Prowler in 1980. She had a role in all of White's subsequent plays and they remained close friends until his death in 1990.
