Revesby Credit Union was established in 1951, the first one in New South Wales. It was a community based credit union which was part of the Community Advancement Movement. In 1987 it merged with Lidcombe Credit Union which was absorbed by Punchbowl Credit Union in 1994. Revesby Credit Union regarded itself as the education wing of the movement in the early 1950s, but by the 1980s the situation changed due to different economic circumstances. At one time Revesby Credit Union operated a general store.
