    Alfred George Crump was a trustee in the estate of Matilda Mary Symons, the widow of Robert Symons from whom she inherited large holdings of real estate; her solicitor was Gilbert Curtis Murdoch. The Symons estate included properties in Balmain, Rozelle (White Bay Hotel), Ultimo (Duke of Edinburgh Hotel), Ashfield, Rockdale, Mosman and Narrabeen.

    1865-1926; Papers re the estate of Matilda Mary Symons including : a copy of her Will and Codicils (1901, 1903); legal documents and correspondence re land purchased by Robert Symons from the estate of William Manners Clarke (1865-1913), re portion of the Ultimo estate leased by Robert Symons from John Harris (1875-1926), re property at Careel Bay; various lists of properties in the Symons estate, with valuations and rentals
    1879-1927; Papers re the Hughes estate, mainly documents of appointment of trustees [Murdoch & Murdoch, solicitors]
    1860-1916; Miscellaneous papers, mainly legal documents re property, including : mortgage between Thomas Sole and John Bird (1860); agreement between Borough of Vaucluse and His Majesty the King (1903); specification of the Cazneau-Woodhouse sheep shearing machine; H.     Most of the papers not connected with the Symons estate would appear to have come from the office of Murdoch & Murdoch, solicitors, Phillip Street, Sydney; it is not known why these papers were in the possession of A. G. Crump
