This photograph is one of a series of eleven taken from 1958 to 1960 for Gillette. Subjects featured a farmer, lifesaver, jet fighter pilot, scientist, TV cameraman, disc jockey, fisherman, jack hammer operator, water skier, racing driver and construction worker. Studio assistant Jill White was the model for the black gloved arm. White went on to become a photographer in the studio and is now a director of Max Dupain and Associates -- Exhibition caption, 1997 - Creator/Author/Artist
