  Publisher Sydney Ure Smith was a generous supporter of Australian artists. He founded the magazines `The Home' and `Art in Australia', in which Dupain's photographs appeared. In 1948, Ure Smith published `Max Dupain Photographs', with an introduction by Hal Missingham, then Director of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, which included this image -- Exhibition caption, 1997
