  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Peter Skrzynecki was born in Germany in 1945 of Polish-Ukrainian origins. He emigrated to Australia in 1949 and grew up in Sydney. He has published seven volumes of poetry including 'Head-waters' (1972), 'Night swim' (1989) and 'Easter Sunday' (1993) and two collections of short stories, 'Wild dogs' (1987) and 'Rock 'n' Roll Heroes' (1992). He has also published two novels 'The beloved mountain' (1988) and 'The cry of the goldfinch (1996). In 1985 he edited 'Joseph's coat', an anthology of writing from Australians of non-English speaking backgrounds.
