    Geoffrey Edgar Sherington, born 1945, Professor and Personal Chair in History of Education, Faculty of Education, University of Sydney, graduated B.A. (Hons), University of Sydney, M.A., University of New South Wales, and PhD., McMaster University (Canada). He has published widely on immigration and the history of educational institutions.
