Pride is a community organisation dedicated to the promotion of positive self esteem among lesbians and gay men. It organises a range activities and events dedicated to that purpose, such as Pride Week, and has established links between community groups and organisations like ACON. Pride’s Sydney Lesbian and Gay Community Centre provides facilities for recreational, cultural, educational, personal development, health and wellbeing needs of gays and lesbian groups and individuals. The company is steered by a Board of Directors elected from the membership. Stephen Auburn was Co-President ca. 1994-1997
