George Farwell, in Squatter's Castle: the Story of a pastoral dynasty. Melbourne, Vic : Lansdowne, 1973, believes that the washstand is more likely to have been acquired by William Ogilvie's brother, David, a midshipman on HMS Victory, after the Battle of Trafalgar.
