    Michael John Butler (Jack) Kenny, journalist and historian, worked for the ‘Brisbane Courier' and the ‘Daily Telegraph’ before joining ‘The Sydney Morning Herald’ as supplements editor in 1952. In 1973 he accepted a position with News Ltd. In the same year he published ‘Bennelong: First Notable Aboriginal’. He died in 1987.
