    James Savage's parents were James Savage and Alice Andrew who were married 2 August 1919 at St. Joseph's Church, Redfern. James Savage was born in 1921 and became the Honorary Photographer for the National Trust (NSW Division). In 1961 he was awarded A.FIAP (Artist in the Swiss-based International Federation of Photographic Art). He lectured in photography, was published in Reader's Digest, judged international exhibitions, was a long time senior executive in the photographic industry and a foundation member of the Australian Photographic Society.
