    26 July 1964; Refers to Sir Walter Scott's novels, a visit to Sydney University on Open Day, Lindsay's plans to write about A.G. Stephens and The Bulletin, his own work on a novel, an attack of lumbago, his visit to Mudgee and Eurundree, Henry Lawson, W.F. Dunn.
