    Frederick William Leist, 1878-1945, artist was the maternal grand father of C. L. Hinchen. John Drayton, editor of the Kalgoorlie Swan in 1904, was Hinchen's great-uncle. He is represented in the Mitchell Library by one story in an anthology, Golden West, 1909
