• Scope and Content
  Collection comprises drawings made by Hedley Carr while a student at Department of Architecture, Sydney Technical College during the mid-1920s. Student drawings include: lettering studies; studies of classical orders and ornaments; construction drawings for fire resistance construction, brick and timber contructions, structural steel design and retaining wall design. Student drawings also include a measured drawing of Scots Church, York Street Sydney; an elevation of northern wall of St. Andrews Cathedral, Sydney; a rendering of tower and northern porch of St. Thomas', North Sydney and a 1928 design for "a small library".
  Professional designs include: 1929 plans for poultry houses for Sunshine Park Ltd, a 1930 cross-section of Hoyts Theatre in George Street, 1936 floor plans for flats for the Modern Properties Co., Macleay Street Sydney; elevations for the Union Bank of Australia, Parkes and professional suites and flats, Macquarie Street Sydney (unbuilt).
  Collection also includes a 1963 Max Dupain photographic portrait of Carr (PXD 734/1)
