The Fringe Theatres Committee was an organisation of community-based theatres in the outer Sydney area, from Woy Woy to the Blue Mountains, to Picton and Stanwell Park. Fringe administered cultural grants to amateur theatre, and provided members with opportunities to exchange ideas, and encourage the growth of good theatre in fringe areas.
