  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    In 1978 Murray Goot, Lecturer in the Department of History, Philosophy and Politics at Macquarie University, was invited by the General Editors of the Australian Dictionary of Biography (ADB) to write the entry on Sir Ernest Fisk (1886-1965). The entry was published in ADB Vol.8 (1981).

    The papers include photocopied and original material, being chiefly duplicates, from the papers of Sir Ernest Fisk which were formerly in the possession of his son, E. K. Fisk, and lent by him to Murray Goot for the purpose of writing the ADB entry. E. K. Fisk presented his father's papers to the Library in 1987 and they are located at ML MSS 6275.
