The Brewer's Association of New South Wales was formed in 1904, separating from the Wine and Spirits Association. They agreed to formal rules in 1922 and formed a management Committee, initially consisting of William Redmond (Tooheys Ltd), Edmund Resch Junior (Resch's Ltd), and William James Cleary (Tooth & Co. Ltd).
