    This collection was accumulated by Lyster Martin, whose father held several ministries in NSW governments. His wife, Elaine, was a member of the Ebsworth family whose ancestor, James Edward Ebsworth, came to Autralia in c.1824. He was followed by othe members of his family and they achieved some prominence in the wool trade. Charles Ebsworth married Frances Broughton (c.1905) whose ancestor, William Broughton was on the First Fleet. As commissary of stores he became a notable figure in the early days of NSW.
