    Caroline (Carrie) Fraser Fry (nee McManamey) was born in 1867, daughter of William and Jessie (nee Fraser) McManamey. She attended the Argyle School in Surry Hills, Sydney, and studied arts at Sydney University in the late 1880s. She married Arthur Fry in May 1890; they had six children, Dorothy, Dene Barrett, Alan Fraser, Hazel, Ida Wilga and James Rollo. Her brother John Fraser McManamey ran the Woodford Academy in the Blue Mountains. Carrie Fry died in Sydney in 1955.

    1888 - 1954, undated; Correspondence, mainly letters received, with some drafts of letters sent; correspondents include: Arthur Fry (courtship letters, December 1889 - May 1890; letters written while touring with the governor of NSW, the Earl of Jersey, and the Post Master General, John Kidd in 1892; letters written while on a cycling tour of NSW in 1900); Edith and Katie Fry (1890); her children, Dorothy (mainly written from Batavia, 1919-1923), Alan (190_-1916), Dene (1906-1917), Hazel (1937), Rollo (1933-1944); Ellis Troughton (1917-1919); her brother Will McManamey (1921,1926,1936); Lucie M.
