    In 1872 Sir Henry Parkes built a mansion, Canley Grange, near the railway line between Fairfield and Cabramatta, named after his birthplace in Warwickshire, England. In 1881 he sold it to Hambrook Murchison Mackenzie whose family resided there into the 1890s.

King, Surveyor; and photographs of the residence and of nearby Lansdowne Bridge
