    Roderic Quinn (1869-1949) was born in Sydney of Irish parents. He became a freelance journalist and writer, producing poetry, short stories and novels. He had a lifelong friendship with E.J. Brady (1869-1952) also a journalist and writer who is best known for his poetry, travel books and an autobiography.

    Letter dated 8 January 1942 in which Brady criticises The Bulletin, refers to other writers including Henry Lawson and requests news of mutual friends.
