    Harold Power was a member of the Commonwealth Party that relieved Australasian Antarctic Expedition meterologists at Macquarie Island between December 1913 and December 1914. This letter was written, according to the typed transcript, to a former colleague at the Commonwealth Meterological Bureau in Melbourne. Power left Macquarie Island on the Endeavour in December 1914. According to expedition reports, the ship was lost without trace, along with all crew and records.
