    A portrait lithograph of Kertamaroo, and his wife Mocatta, was published in ""South Australia in 1842"" (London, 1843) opp. p.23 cf. 983/41 Mitchell Library. The imprint on the lithograph reads 'Model'd from life by Mrs Walker""
    Library officers previously described the medallion as being Tasmanian aborigine

    An attached label incorrectly notes "Tasmania. A contemporary portrait in wax of a native man. The only other specimen I have come across is the one of Edge-Partington (a pair with a woman) which belonged to Lady Franklin who obtained it in Tasmania when her husband was Governor. See his 'Drawing etc. Catalogue' 1926, page 23 and also Edwards Cat. 1934, tiem 2327, wher the pair is priced 12 pounds. Date c.1835, 13 July 1932."
