Campaign Exposing Frame-ups and Targeting Abuses of Authority (CEFTAA) originated in Sep. 1991 following the acquittal and release from prison of Tim Anderson. Its precursor was the Campaign Exposing the Frame-Up of Tim Anderson, established in May 1989 when Anderson was charged with the bombing of Sydney's Hilton Hotel in 1978. CEFTAA's aims broadened 'to expose and work against injustices in and abuses of the criminal justice system'.
