A.C. 'Johnny' Wallace was born in Macksville, NSW in 1900. He was educated at Sydney Grammar School and Sydney University where he excelled at rugby union. In 1921 he toured New Zealand with the NSW team. Awarded a Rhodes scholarship in 1922, he studied law at Oxford University and played nine tests for Scotland as part of the celebrated Oxford-Scottish three-quarter line. In 1927-28 he captained the famous NSW Waratahs on their tour of Great Britain and France. In later years he coached successful NSW and Australian teams.. - Scope and ContentIncomplete autobiography of A.C. 'Johnny' Wallace.
