  • Scope and Content
    “The position of the view is above Lavender Bay, North Sydney, then known as Hulk Bay. The house is probably Brenchley, situation on the right shore of the Bay. In the centre is Dawes Point with St James Church spire above it. To the right of Dawes Point are the sandstone cliffs and quarries of Millers Point. To the left of Dawes Point are First Government House, Government Stables and second Government House, still unfinished at this date/ Fort Macquarie is on the far left and windmills at Darlinghurst above it”.
