    1 scrapbook, with embossed covers of arabesque design and 'Album' printed in middle front cover in gold, of 147 pages (manuscript, engravings, pencil drawings and watercolours) - 29.5 x 24 x 3.8 album
  • Scope and Content
    Album includes a large number of albumen photoprints of paintings, mainly religious, poems etc; in fair condition, and colour wood engravings (many by Le Blond & Co., London). Also includes a number of watercolour flower studies - the majority of Australian subjects.
    Items which were loose in volume are now at PXA 665 vol.2

    Album may have belonged to Francis Edwards Rogers (1841-1925) as the album is initialled "F.E.R." in the design for its 'frontispiece' on p.5
    Jane King was the wife of Rev. George King, who emigrated to Western Australia in 1841. Their daughter, Rebecca May King, who was born in 1841, married Francis Edward Rogers in 1868 cf.
