Burdenda (Tottenham, N.S.W.) was purchased in 1873 from Messrs Pattinson, Levy and Stonestreet by George Thomas Hunt (1823-1899), his brother Thomas Barber Hunt and brother-in-law Samuel Crawford. Samuel Crawford appears to have later sold his interest to the Hunt brothers. Hunt Brothers owned Burdenda Station at Tottenham, New South Wales, Obella Park at Obley, and a property known as Tabratong West. In the early days `Burdenda' consisted of many individual holdings, some freehold, others leasehold and over the years these holdings have been consolidated and converted to Torrens title.

The collection consists of Letterbooks, deposit books, title deeds, land grants, income tax returns, station ledgers and account books and business correspondence mainly relating to Burdenda Station.
