Stuart Calvert Round worked as a journalist in Sydney, Melbourne and elsewhere in Australia writing for the Truth magazine, ABC Radio News, Star Observer magazine and commercial radio. He has also been a volunteer prison visitor at Long Bay Goal, Sydney, and involved with the Civil Rehabilitation Committees, an AIDS hotline counselor, a volunteer reader for the blind on radio, and involved with ACON and Body Positive. The collection reflects all these areas of interest and involvement.
