Arthur Raymond Shepley was Construction Engineer with Balgue Construction Company for the first road bridge over the Hawkesbury River at Peats Ferry from December 1939 to 1945.
Scope and Content
Blue prints, notes and calculations, presscuttings, invitation to the opening of the bridge and photographs. Also included is a copy of Shepley's paper "The Construction of Highway Bridge across the Hawkesbury River at Peat's Ferry, N.S.W." (The Journal of the Institution of Engineers" Vol. 25).
