Born in Hong Kong, Irene Lee Tang worked in Canada between 1966-1973 and Hong Kong between 1973-1979 before migrating to Sydney. Tang gained experience promoting business migration in various firms before establishing her own migration consultancy business - Irene Tang & Associates, Artarmon, Sydney, in 1988. The business serviced mainly Asian clients from Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan and Indonesia. The company offered specialist services facilitating, business migration, permanent and temporary residence visa applications, family, independent and skilled migration, extended stay visas for retirees, establishment of branches for overseas companies and post arrival assistance.
