William Henry Tietkens was a prominent surveyor and explorer of Central Australia in the late nineteenth century. He lived at 'Upna', Eastwood (N.S.W.), a neighbour of the Wright family with whose children he engaged in various high jinks. Darby Wright was one of the children whom he referred to as 'rebels'. Around 1932 he went to live with his daughter, Emily Mary Daniels, and her husband, the Reverend Leonard Daniels, at St. Paul's Rectory, Lithgow (N.S.W.). - System of arrangementChronological
