Birdsall Bros was a long established leather merchant and tannery at Mascot, NSW and operated as a family business for 105 years. It was founded and commenced tanning of sheepskins in 1883 at Beresford Street Mascot as Birdsall Bros Tannery, later Birdsall Leather Company and Birdsalll Brothers Exports. Specialising in chrome tanned leather for footwear, handbags and leather goods, also vegetable tanned leather for saddlery and leather goods. In 1970, they extended their business as suppliers to industry and importing leathers not made in Australia including linings, soling materials and rubber
