    Daniel and Mary Ann Lobb (nee Hannan) were living at Hill End at the time of their marriage in 1870. Daniel Lobb is described at the time of his being declared insolvent (1881) as a gold miner and a publican in the McDonald's Hole locality, near Mudgee (NSW State Archives).
    The Lobb family lived at Loftus after leaving the goldfields. It is believed they had a coach company, titled Lobb & Co (as in Cobb & Co) that ran between Sutherland and the Royal National Park.
    Mary Ann Lobb (nee Hannan) died 08 Jul 1904 at Helensburgh, Daniel Lobb died 01 Oct 1928 at Sutherland.
