    LR plan #79
    William Booth and Co. General Store in Mayne Street next to Leggatt's Smithfield Butchery. Booth imported his goods directly from England and Scotland, and visited there in late 1872. He also had a branch store in Main Street, Home Rule. John Lewis was employed as a tailor when the store first started, then he set up his own business in Herbert Street.
