    Objects - 3 women's square-toed shoes with leather soles, silk uppers (over a leather and material inner lining) with silk ribbon shoe laces attached. They are straight shoes (neither left nor right) and could be worn interchangeably - each 6 x 22 cm.

    Harriott Blaxland was the only daughter of John Louis de Marquet, of Calcutta, formally an officer in the Guard du Corps of Louis XVI. She married John Blaxland in 1797. Reference Source: A Genealogical and History of the Colonial Gentry / by Sir Bernard Burke. 1891
