    1 painting - oil on canvas - 14 x 12.5 cm.
  • Scope and Content
The five sketchbooks contain mainly pencil drawings which include preparatory, anatomical, portrait (many dated Sydney 1874 and 1875) and copy drawings, probably of European paintings. There is a small amount of text, in both English and Italian.
There is a watercolour drawing of Sydney Harbour from Milson's Point vol. 5 (Call No.: PXB 284 (v.5))
A small portrait oil (possibly a male Aborigine) sketch on canvas, which had been loosely inserted, was removed from vol. 5. It is now mounted separately but kept with the rest of the collection.
Collection also includes a carte-de-visite photograph by Giulio Anivitti of an unidentified woman and a panel photograph of Giuseppe Anivitti.
  • General note

The pencil portrait sketch in vol. 2 p.9 is similar to the oil portrait by Anivitti of Professor Charles Badham, in the University of Sydney collections.
