  • General note

A Common Place is a photographic series of the Aboriginal community at Moree, New South Wales, many of whom are relatives of Michael Riley. The series was taken in 1990 and involved Michael travelling to Moree and setting up an outdoor studio and inviting members of the community to participate. 'A Common Place' was initially exhibited at the Hogarth Gallery, Sydney, in 1990 and then at the Rebecca Hossack Gallery, London, in 1991.
In 2016 the library acquired five archival prints to complete this set of images (PXD 1425).
