  • Scope and Content
    This is Martin Sharp's original design for the "OZ?" "Tapestry".

    The tapestry was woven by the Victorian Tapestry Workshop, Melbourne. It was commissioned and presented to the State Library of New South Wales by Mr and Mrs Jim Bain in 1987 for the new wing of the State Library that was officially opened in 1988 by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

    According to the Victorian Tapestry Workshop records, the tapestry was completed in 1987. Preliminary design drawings were presented by Martin Sharp to the workshop in 1986.
