    An ambrotype of an uncle of Captain Holmes, John Holmes who drowned in the Richmond River N.S.W. in ca. 1867, has been transferred from Pic.Acc.615/2. Location number: MIN 331 Mitchell Library

    PXE 1071/nos 39, 41, 44, 60, 85 are embossed with the blind stamp `Hood'. These appear to be early works by the photographer Sam Hood.
