Dated 1930-1940 from information from Maureen Lambourne [John Gould's great-great grandaughter] who remembers her grandmother commissioning a number of similar portraits in the 1930s, all of which were in the same frames.
When the watercolour miniature was removed from its frame, a dry tintype photograph was found underneath it. The photograph had been copied by the miniature painter. - Signatures / Inscriptions
