In June 1992 the Mitchell Library's copy of the Australasian Sporting Magazine (ML ref. 798.05/1) was missing.
A trimmed copy of the engraving is tipped into "Rough Notes on Various Issues" (ML ref. ML MSS B565).
Bells Life in Sydney reported on 11 January 1851 p.2e that the etching was a copy of a painting in the possession of G.R. Nichols.
