  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    The Philip Geeves Memorial Trust was set up by friends and supporters of Philip Geeves after his death in 1983; its purpose was to raise funds for a public memorial and to award prizes in his honour. In 1985-6 local history essay competitions were held for children and adults. The remaining funds were used for the restoration of two statues, Spring and Autumn, in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
